Hi I’m Kathryn,
I enjoy playing music with my friends, performing for weddings and other events, creating music videos on my YouTube channel, cooking, making jewelry, and hanging out with my family.
I believe that music, theatre, and the arts are an important, rewarding and creative outlet you will enjoy for the rest of your life.
I received a B.M.E. in Music Education from The University of New Hampshire. I am a Suzuki Certified Violin Instructor in Books 1 & 2.
I enjoy working with all types of students – from as young as 2 years old to adult.
I always hope that my students leave their lessons feeling accomplished and proud of their work. One of my favorite quotes by Dr. Shinichi Suzuki is:
“Teaching music is not my main purpose. I want to make good citizens. If children hear fine music from the day of their birth and learn to play it, they develop sensitivity, discipline and endurance. They get a beautiful heart.”
