Hi there! I’m Eric Guerin and enjoy spreading the gospel of ukulele as a member of the faculty at Apple Tree Arts. I fell in love with the sound of the ukulele when I first heard Israel Kamakawiwoʻole’s medley rendition of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World”. It was the song my wife and I shared our first dance to at our wedding in 2003. In 2016 I took a free introduction to ukulele class at my public library, the size and simplicity of the four strings on the uke attracted me. Fast forward to today and I am teaching those same community outreach classes at libraries through Apple Tree Arts!
Everyone has the potential to make music and the simplicity of the ukulele allows me to help people unlock these creative abilities. With a small amount of daily practice, you will be amazed at how quickly you see improvements in your playing.
I look forward to meeting you and keep on strumming!
