“The Shadow Box” by Michael Cristofer

Directed by MB DeKara

Auditions are complete, and the show has been cast!

“The Shadow Box” by Michael Cristofer brings the audience into the world of three cancer patients as they come to the end of their lives in hospice cottages on the grounds of a hospital. Each character comes to terms with their illness and life through interviews and moments with their families, who stay with them in these final days.

“The Shadow Box” was the recipient of the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and the Tony for Best Play in 1977.

Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons at Apple Tree Arts’ Great Hall.

Performances will be Friday, April 22 at 7:00 pm, Saturday, April 23 at 7:00 pm, and Sunday, April 24 at 2:00 pm in the Great Hall at Apple Tree Arts

This is an unpaid/non-union production, all cast members agree to this commitment as volunteers.

Grades 1-4 Musical Theater

Bugz! (grades 1-4)

There’s going to be a picnic and everyone is pitchin’ in…the ladybugs are in charge of proper etiquette, the army ants will handle security, the fireflies are in charge of lighting, and entertainment will be provided by the bumblebees. Looks like everything is set! But what’s this!? The stinky bug wants to come too! Buzz on over to the country-style hoedown and help the critters rescue the party! 

Dates: Saturdays, February 5 – May 7 (no classes Feb 19, April 16)

Rehearsals are in progress, now through Feb 10 at Grafton Middle School.

Performances: Friday, February, 11 at 7:00 pm,  Saturday, February 12 at 2:00 pm, at Grafton High School. Tickets sold at the door.

Private Acting Lessons 

Study popular acting techniques and apply them to characters, scenes, monologues and theatre games.
Learn how to:
· Analyze a character’s personality traits, actions and motives
· Master the physicality of a character
· Empathize emotionally with a character
· Improvise and trust your creative instincts

Available for a 6-week session, or as needed for audition prep.
