The Lion King Kids

Musical Theatre program for children grades 2-6.

The African savannah comes to life on your stage with Simba, Rafiki, and an unforgettable cast of characters as they journey from Pride Rock to the jungle and back again in this inspiring, coming-of-age tale.

Rehearsals: Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm: January 4 – March 9 (no rehearsals week of 2/20-2/24)

Performances: Friday, March 10, 7:00 pm and Saturday, March 11, 7:00 pm

Musical Theatre program for students grade 1-4

The Circus is in town and there’s excitement in the air! But wait… the Ringmaster has come down with a case of laryngitis and they need to find a substitute fast! Join the clowns, jugglers, dancing bears, lions and a host of other hilarious performers as they help one very sad clown smile again.

Rehearsals: Saturdays from 10:00am – 12:30pm
Starting January 14, 2023

Acting for Teens

Acting for Teens

Students will learn fundamentals of Acting through various methods including Stanislavsky and Spolin. Classes will focus on body and breath control, using movement and expression to convey information to an audience and confidence with stage presence. Through Improv warmup and exercises the class will grow their understanding of listening and support. The next progression will be toward understanding how Actors prepare and take care of their bodies. The culmination of this class will be working on monologues and scenes. Each student will finish this class with the training and understanding of an Actor’s preparation, as well as a polished monologue and practice with scene work!

Classes: Wednesdays 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm: March 8 – April 12

Improv for Adults

Intro to Improv for Adults

In this 6-week course students will learn the foundations of Improv. The basic tenets of Improv will be learned (“Yes, And” and “If this, then what”) and illustrated through warmups, exercises, and Improv games. Students will gain skills in listening, using their bodies and voices for expression, working collaboratively, and building a safe and supportive creative community. This class will build confidence and trust in one’s self and classmates. Beyond these foundations students will finish this course with:

  • Tools towards achieving creative flow
  • Full body listening
  • Giving over control as a choice
  • Strengthen muscles from laughing
  • Meeting new people
  • Spontaneity as an exercise towards creative discoveries

Classes: Wednesdays 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm: February 15 – March 29 (no class February 22)
