Our four- and five-year-old program, expands further on the tonal, rhythm and musical concepts that are already in the children's "ears" from earlier classes. Ear training is a part of every class and, again, children see it as a joyful, playful activity. We continue to expand our ability to hear by identifying instruments in the orchestra and work on child-friendly composition skills. This curriculum begins with a focus on our community, as we musically explore places where people live and the animals with whom we share our lives, then we move into the woodlands to see how wild animals live, move and sound. In the second two sessions, we explore musical concepts and dance through different cultures around the world.
