Payment and Fees

Registration fee for all students: $30 per year (Aug.1-July 31) due with first tuition payment, for first family member, $20 each additional family member. (non-refundable)

Classes and Ensembles: Full tuition payment due prior to first class.

Private Lessons: Option #1- Pay in full prior to Sept. 8 (Fall); Jan. 19 (Spring)

Private Lessons Option #2- Payment Plans: Automatic Debit Plan
You may use this two-payment plan, in which you:

(1). make a minimum $250 payment (by check or credit card) prior to
the start of your lessons, and
(2). authorize us to charge your credit card for the balance of the payment.

• $250 due prior to Sept. 8 (Fall), balance debited November 3
• $250 due by Jan. 19 (Spring), balance debited March 16

Payments must accompany the registration form and be received before the first lesson or class. Attendance at private or group lessons will not be allowed without prior payment.

We will mail out statements twice per year, to update you on your current balance. Students must pay for all lessons in the semester whether taken or missed. (See make-up policy.)

Note: You may not begin a new semester without full payment of the prior semester.

Private lesson payment is prorated for the student who begins after the semester has started.

Tuition Assistance Policy

Please review the following information regarding tuition assistance applications:

Applications are available through Kathy in the business office, or through our website, www.appletreearts.org. Applications for each semester must be received no later than September 1, 2009 (Fall), January 1, 2010 (Spring), and
June 1, 2010 (Summer).

The Board will review and vote on applications and will notify each applicant of their decision, prior to the start of the semester.

All applications must be complete, and may include any additional information that they see fit to assist the Board in evaluating their application. Incomplete applications will not be given consideration by the Board. The application can be downloaded here.

Refunds

Our refund policy is as follows:

Classes: Families withdrawing prior to the first class of the semester will receive a full refund. Families withdrawing before the fourth week are entitled to a 50% refund of tuition only. (Does not include registration fee or cost of materials.)

Private Lessons: Students who withdraw before the third lesson will receive a refund of 80% of the unused tuition. We regret that no other refund will be given.

Extenuating circumstances will be evaluated on a per case basis.

Cancellations
We follow the school districts’ snow emergency cancellation procedure where your class is located. If the Grafton Public School district has a delayed opening, then our morning classes are cancelled. School closings will be announced over WTAG radio. The instructor will notify you in the event of his/her illness. If you need to cancel, please notify private teachers 24 hours in advance to allow the instructor time to adjust his/her schedule.
Make-up Policy
Regular attendance is very important for skill-building and continuity of learning. Please make every effort to attend all classes.

Classes: A make-up class is reserved by the teacher at the end of each session, to be used in case of his/her illness or weather emergency. Two make up classes will be allowed per student per semester, with prior permission from the teacher to assure room in the class.

Private Lessons: Students are allowed one cancellation per semester that teachers are obliged to reschedule. Teachers may possibly reschedule subsequent cancellations, but they are not required to do so, due to time constraints. Teacher cancellations will be made up.
Class Location
Many Tots & Tunes classes and group lessons will be held at the Evangelical Congregational Church on the Grafton Common, the Grafton Municipal Center, or a facility to be announced. We remind our students that we rent our space and always strive to maintain our friendly, respectful relationship with those in charge of our facilities.
