Several local libraries (see list below) are offering a free Early Childhood Education Seminar presented by Jan Barlow.  All registration is handled by the libraries. The target audience is for parents and caregivers of children from birth to age 5. (please do not bring children)

"Music as a tool for learning" is the theme of this parent training. Come learn the power music has to enhance your child’s focus, brain development, creative expression and so much more.  We will explore the how and why music is so important to your young child’s development and ways to bring these tools into your home. Attendees will receive song lyrics and movement ideas that help children develop these skills.

Biography of Jan Barlow
Jan has trained extensively in the MusikGarten curriculum and is Level 2 certified by the Early Childhood Music and Movement Association.  She is an alumna in Vocal Performance from Berklee College of Music and has a degree in Business Management from Dean College. Jan oversees Apple Tree Arts’ early childhood music program.  She has a passion for educating young children and their families during the informative early childhood years.  She shares this passion through her music training programs for preschool teachers and day care providers and through the classes she teaches for children from birth through age nine.
