These classes for six- to nine-year-olds is the final step in creating the body and ear as the child's instrument. Children sing, dance, solfege, and work as an ensemble, then apply that knowledge to the keyboard. The intention of this approach is to create a joyful lifelong love of music-making. After completing three years of this program, children can move to semi-private or private lessons; and the knowledge and joy acquired in group keyboard class can be applied to any instrument they choose.
Levels 1 and 2 are 60 minutes; Levels 3-6 are 75 minutes.
